My Reflections

It's a long ago I did this.

I remember few first days of doing things in life. I can't remember all but those few ones I remember, I cherish them so much. I remember my first kiss. I will never forget my first sex. Of course other less mundane things and highly important things in life. My first day at the University as a law student. My first internship and later, my first day of becoming an associate in the biggest lawfirm in Nigeria. And of course the day I gave my life to Christ, although I was quite young and might not have really appreciated its importance. I remember these days and how happy or sad I was.

I remember my first break up. I remember my first heart break, perhaps I should call it disappointment at a prospect. I remember these things and reflecting on them now, I'm thankful they all happened to me. They've all made me strong!

Today marks another day of my life; another first. I'm 26 year old today. This is so important to me and really got me to sit down and reflect about life. Honestly, I thought I would be more than this at 26 but I'm not what I used to be! I'm grateful to God. I'm improving everyday! I'm growing in leaps and bounds! This year will only come once but these numbers 2 and 6 will come once more.

I know and I say it that by that time when 6 and 2 will meet again, I can look back at this day and be satisfied that indeed I have achieved my goals in life and then move on to much greater things.

Dear God, I am very grateful for these days. You know my heart desires and in summary they are written below. I want to be rich and famous. I want to be a loving husband and father. I want to love and listen to my wife and kids. I want to be a role model. And I want to make this world a better place. I don't want to do this alone therefore, bring me closer to those people who will partner with me and together, we shall improve on our environment. These I ask and I believe I will receive in due time. Amen.
